Salam, Kia Ora...

These are the donuts that I made for Auntie Eton yesterday.  I like this donut recipe bcos its so easy to remember.  The donuts turn out so soft and airy and it still stays soft the next day.  Jannah is crazy abt donuts herself and she will only eat the plain ones, no sugar, no topping.  She had 6 donuts and kept coming up to me for more.......@_@

I lost my mojo today....it's 5.30pm and I still haven't got any idea what I am gonna cook for dinner.  Yikkkesss........indo mie goreng sounds yummmy for lazy days like this....kekekekez

Ingredients :
(A)
3 cups flour
3 tablespoons milk powder
3 tablespoons shortening
(I just use butter)

 3 tablespoons castor sugar

(B)
200ml lukewarm water
2 teaspoons instant dry yeast
20ml water ~ extra if needed

Method :
1. Mix well all the ingredients in B.
2. Pour into ingredients A and knead till smooth and shiny.
3. Roll to about 1/2 cm thick and cut with the donut cutter.
4. Leave to proof for about 1/2 hour.
5. Fry on medium heat till golden brown.
6. Coat with sugar.


I skipped step 1 and 2 and just dump all the ingredients into my breadmaker and let it do all the hard work....hehehez.  It was a cold morning to proof the donuts.  I proof them in a 50 degrees C oven.  It took only 15 mins for the dough to double in size.


As we couldn't stay long yesterday, my doggie bag consists of these 2 yummilicious snacks and a whole raw marinated chicken which I have to grill myself...hehehez


Righty ho, off to the kitchen now....Vampire Diaries on tv tonight.  Take care everyone.......

I suka donuts..tapi malas nak tunggu naik...and malas lagik nak goreng...nanti ai nak kena saiko dulu saper rhajin gorengkan..baru ai wat..ek :)

Time I buat donut ni, pepagi smalam, sejuk jugak temperature. I proof kat dlm oven 50deg C. 15 mins jer da naik 2 kali ganda. Kalau malas nak goreng, bake healty lifestyle nya donut....hehehehez

Kat SG ada jco donut yg lembut giler itew!! I likeeee....u bli jer kalau malas...yyyuuuummmmeeeehhh

I pun suka donuts. Lately kalau teringin I beli jer satu dua kat Mydin tu (tapi orang2 Federal Bakery yg buat).

Nak tanya Anie, you proof dough dlm oven yang memang ada fungsi mengeproof atau you just use the normal oven. I tanya sbb mmg ada oven/mw yg berfungsi cam tu.

Bestkan kalau teringin nak mkn beli jer...I miss SG & MY. Pegi mana2 serang makanan. My bestie and I ada used to go for 'amazing food race' hehehez. Makan sana, makan sini tak kenyang2.

My oven takde fungsi mengeproof. I main gasak jer proof dlm oven tu...hehehez and min temp for my oven is 50 deg C.
